All things digital in East Flanders

The digital sector is one of the fastest growing fields in today’s industry. With evolutions such as Industry 4.0, Internet of Things , AI, and the exploration of virtual and augmented reality, the field often changes overnight. East Flanders is not afraid of that change. We embrace it, relying on the continuous interactions of our research- and education institutions and the companies that are developing these new and exciting technologies.

The University of Ghent has been fertile ground for several East Flanders’ tech start-ups, many of which have grown to the international stage. In total, the Digital Sector provides 11.000 jobs and is valued at 1.2 billion euro.
